Eastpoint is located on Florida’s Forgotten Coast in Franklin County approximately 60 miles southwest of Tallahassee and 70 miles southeast of Panama City. Click on the map to the left for more information. Eastpoint is surrounded by water with the East Bay (Apalachicola) on one side and St. George Sound on the other. State Highway 300, which crosses the sound as the gateway to St. George Island, a vacation paradise, begins in Eastpoint. It is home to the Oyster industry on the Forgotten Coast and many lifelong oyster men and women live here. The Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve is also located in Eastpoint, and a great place to learn about oystering and the ecology of the area. State Highway 65 which runs North from Eastpoint leads to the Tate's Hell State Forest and Apalachicola National Forest where you can find outstanding camping and hunting. State Highway 65 is also part of the Big Bend Scenic Byway which also runs through Eastpoint.
